Born and raised in San Diego, Alex's initial int erest in body art came from the punk and hardcore music scene. He first started collecting tattoos to represent his strong personal beliefs of veganism and straightedge, and after years of getting tattooed, he realized that he wanted to be on the other side of the needle. Alex has a genuine love for the art of tattooing, often times working late into the night, way past closing time! Proof that he truly loves his job. He appreciates and enjoys all styles of tattoos, but his favorite is the old school style of traditional americana; bold outlines and solid colors. Inspiration for his artwork comes from many places, from the renaissance masters, to modern photography, and everywhere in between. He likes to spend his days off getting his adrenaline fix, whether it be rock climbing, skydiving, or some other crazy stunt.
