these guys are doing it right! they have the whole package, great tattoos and what? what!! Tattoo artists who are friendly!!!! high level of service. I would rather go every few months and spend a bigger amount of money to have it done right

Body Marks is a great shop with a friendly staff. I've gotten all my work done there and i won't go anywhere else. They are all very helpful and make sure you get exactly what you want. i love the Japanese tattoos nes creates for me

I really like the way these guys treat people and they do really nice work. I have gotten tattooed at many places and can honestly say that these guys are the BEST! Nice, friendly, caring and awesome awesome artists!! Some of the best tattoos on my body came from Nes at BODY MARK'S TATTOO! Nes even tattooed my mom!!

I wanted to get my nipples pierced and my private area, and had such a hard time finding a female piercer. I found one at another place but she was rude and wouldnt explain things to me when i asked. I went to body marks and talked to shelley and she showed me her portfolio and answered all my questions. She put me at ease, was really nice, and now i have piercings that i love!! I will never go anywhere else for a piercing now. I recommend shelley to all my friends, so if you want a good piercing, go see her!! =)

Let me just start by saying that I have a few tattoos done by Mark and he is by far the best. I have a total of 13 tattoos, the last piece that Mark did for me was a half sleeve and I get so many complements on it. I no longer live in San Diego but I bet you this.... No one will do another tattoo on me unless it is Mark. Not only is mark a great tattooist but he is a really cool guy and a great friend.

mark does some of the best color and japanese tattoos i've seen. my brother in law and i are going to him to get bro tattoos and i'm sleeving myself all in japanese art. mark's an all around good guy out of the shop as well. i'd highly recommend going to him.

Any comments contrary to the positive talented atmosphere seem outlandish and should be disegarded with the cavalier nature they were written. Mark is a stellar guy wih high morals and he goes out of his way to treat everyone with the upmost respect. Even more to boot he takes his art very serious and is passionat about his craft. Anyone who says otherwise should be shot!

First off Mark is an angel and is a very talented artist. He is constantly working to improve himself and his great work. His shop is definately one of my favorites in SD. Secondly, "Joe" should get a life and stop wasting time being bummed about getting shit canned, and start looking for an apprenticeship so maybe he wont get fired from the next "tatoo" job he gets. :)

I found the entire staff at Body Mark's Tattoo to be very talented and very nice to customers (which I think is rare in the industry). Their tattooer, Tly, went above and beyond to help me plan a surprise-tattoo for my boyfriend. I spent almost an entire day in their shop and was very impressed with the artwork being produced, the clean environment, and the overall vibe. I've been tattooed in many states and shops- Body Mark's was right up with the best- I would totally get tattooed there, or take my friends or family to get work done there!

I've had 3 tattoos done by mark and i have received nothing but praise and compliments from random people about the artwork. its absurd to hear this "Joe" falsely criticize mark of such behavior since he is probably one of the most down to earth, respectable person i know...anyone whoever asks for my recommendation on a tattooist/tattoo shop, i tell them to stop at body marks...one life/one love...quit hating its bad for your health

My name is Chris and I'm Marks brother, I Happen to be the owner of Marks first tattoo he ever did. This was back in mabey 1991 or 92. It was done with a sewing needle and indian ink, and I get compliments on it constantly. When I tell people how it was done they are amazed because it looks like it was done with a gun. Mark is one of the most talented artists I have ever known and anyone who has some ink from mark should feel lucky! Nough said.

I got my very first Tattoo from the owner Mark at Body Marks, I am now addicted to tattos and cannot wait to get my next one.... I was so impressed with how patient he was with me taking forever to pick what I wanted and where I wanted it, this atmosphere helped to make me feel much more comfortable about this decision, and relaxed when the actual tattooing started. I love my tattoo and refuse to get inked by anyone else. Body Mark's Tattoo is awesome. Thanks

P.S. Can someone please tell Joe S. how to spell Tattoo.............. T-A-T-T-O-O, was the tat he got a word???....maybe that's why he was unhappy, because it was spelled correctly????

I found Body Marks tattoo while vacationing to Cali. The Owner Mark was extremely helpful and understanding of my timing requirements being I was leaving town in 36 Hours!! He was so incredible in doing the actual tattoo and his work was so detailed. (i had him do a full back piece cross)
I called him 6 months later and flew back out to have him do all of the coloring on my cross. To do this he put aside an entire day to make sure that we had time to go through several coloring techniques and options!!
Again I was so impressed that I drove down from Minneapolis MN, to have him tattoo my ribs! He is the ONLY tattoo artist that I let put ink into me!!!
As far as I am concerned there is no-one better!!!!

I've gotten both my half sleeves done here, both done by the owner Mark. He single-handedly drew up both of them and everywhere I go people stop to me to check out the beautiful art that he has tattooed on me. I always recommend Mark to anyone interested in getting a tattoo because he is VERY talented, professional, and in a nutshell the epitome of a good person. I consider him a close friend of mine and developed that friendship since he started tattooing me because conversating with him while getting tattoos enabled me to see that he's a genuinely caring person. He's currently working on finishing a full sleeve for me and I'm positive and confident that he'll draw up some remarkable looking art. Want to see how it turns out? I don't know what "joe s" is talking about, but Mark, the owner of Body Marks Tattoo has done all 24 of my tattoos and I am totally happy. Mark is very creative, very talented and very professional. The shop is a very clean, nice and professional atmosphere that echos Mark and his work ethic. I cannot think of a better shop to get tattooed at in San Diego. I also would not listen to a childish rant posted by a person who cannot even spell "tattoo" correctly.

I would like to say that this is the "best tattoo shop in san diego" "BODY MARKS TATTOO". I'm not just saying they do great work, they are actuall friendly and helpful and treat you like a person! Not like most other shops that you have been to and I know you all know what I'm talking about, those rockstar A HOLES!!! The ones who are to good to give you the time of day!! NOt here they are clean sterile nice helpful and good at tattooing. Do yourself a favor and check thid=s place out first you will be happy!!!
